Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 5 hours)
You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel at 6.30a.m and immediately depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4 o’clock till 6p.m.
Overnight: Entim or Mara Bush Camp/Zebra Plains or Basecamp/Sarova or Ashnil Mara
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2 & 3: Maasai Mara – Full day game drive
These 2 days will be spent with full-day game drives that lead one to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. In between game drives, there will be picnic lunch along the banks of Mara River or a good picnic spot.
Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives
Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks
Overnight: Entim/Zebra Plains or Basecamp/Sarova or Ashnil Mara
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 4: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Serengeti (Approx. 7-8 hrs)
Have early breakfast then immediately depart for Serengeti passing through Isebania border. Carry packed lunch with you from the lodge because you will arrive at the park past lunch hour. Have a game drive as you enter the park en route to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Alternatively, take a mid-morning flight to Serengeti from Mara to arrive by early afternoon ($598 per person)
Overnight: Kubu Kubu/Serena/Tortilis Serengeti
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 5 & 6: Serengeti – Full day
These 2 days, have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. Enjoy searching for wildlife in this vast savannah land. Picnic lunch will be served at lunch time.
Alternatively, have an early morning game drive before breakfast. Thereafter, return to the camp for breakfast. Return to the camp and rest then you will have another one at 3/4p.m till 6p.m.
Optional Activities: Balloon ride, sun downers, and bush breakfast.
Overnight: Kubu Kubu/Serena/Tortilis Serengeti
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 7: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro (Approx. 3-4 hours)
After breakfast, then have a final game drive as you depart for Ngorongoro. You will meet some wildlife on your way to the lodge.
Overnight: Serena/Farm House
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 8: Ngorongoro – Crater tour – Transfer to Arusha (Approx. 3-4 hours)
Have breakfast then depart for a visit to the foot of Ngorongoro Crater for a game driver. You will later have picnic lunch before you head out to Arusha.
Overnight: Gran Melia/Mount Meru
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 9: Arusha – Transfer to Amboseli, Via Namanga (Approx. 3-4 hours)
After breakfast at the hotel depart for Namanga border. Clear customs and immigration formalities then join our Kenya tour driver and proceed to Amboseli. You will arrive in time for hot lunch. After lunch, have an afternoon game drive. Look out for large herds of elephants, lions, leopard, gazelles, wild dogs and the magnificent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Overnight: Ol Tukai or Serena/Kibo
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 10: Amboseli – Full day
This day have a pre-breakfast and afternoon game drive. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4 o’clock for 2 hours.
The rest of the time is spent in lodge’s facilities
Overnight: Ol Tukai or Serena/Kibo
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 11: Amboseli – Transfer to Nairobi (Approx. 4 hours)
Have another morning game drive then return to the lodge. You will leave Amboseli after breakfast and head to Nairobi. Arrive and have lunch before being dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
