This is a 14-day Kenya and Tanzania safari expedition through the stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife of the 2 East African countries, starting from Nairobi and ending in Tanzania in the city of Arusha.

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Samburu (Approx. 5 hours)

You will be picked at 6.30a.m from your Nairobi hotel and immediately depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. You will have lunch en route to the lodge. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. for 2 hours.

Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich.

Overnight: Elephant Bedroom/Ashnil Samburu
Meals: Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 2: Samburu – Full day

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals are taken at the camp.

Day 3: Samburu – Transfer to Sweetwaters (Approx. 3-4 hours)

You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel at 7a.m. and immediately head to Sweetwaters to arrive just before lunch time. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. for 2 hours.

Ol Pejeta is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and hippo. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Overnight: Sweetwaters Serena/Jambo Mutara
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 4: Sweetwaters – Transfer to Lake Nakuru by road (Approx. 3-4 hours)

Have breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru arriving before lunch time. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4pm to see the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park among other wildlife.

Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 4-5 hours)

Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 3 o’clock till 6p.m.

Overnight: Basecamp or Zebra Plains/Ashnil or Sarova/Entim or Mara Bush Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 6 & 7: Maasai Mara – Full day game drives

These 2 whole days will be spent with full-day game drives that lead one to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. In between game drives, there will be picnic lunch along the banks of Mara River.

Optional Activities; Balloon ride & Maasai Village visit

Overnight: Basecamp or Zebra Plains/Ashnil or Sarova/Entim or Mara Bush Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 8: Mara – Transfer to Lake Victoria, Musoma (Approx. 4 hours)

Have breakfast then depart for Musoma passing through Isebania border. You will arrive at lunch time. The rest of the day is spent relaxing.

Overnight: Serenity on The Lake 
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 9: Musoma – Transfer to Serengeti (Approx. 2-3 hours)

Have breakfast then depart for Serengeti passing through Isebania border. Carry packed lunch with you from the lodge because you will arrive at the park past lunch hour. Have a game drive as you enter the park and later drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Overnight: Kubu Kubu/Serengeti Serena/Kati Kati or Tortilis

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 10: Serengeti – Full day

Spend this whole day with morning and afternoon game drivers within the Great Serengeti. Serengeti is the home to Africa’s Big Five. All meals will be taken at the camp.

Overnight: Kubu Kubu/Serengeti Serena/Kati Kati or Tortilis

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 11: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro (Approximately 3 hours)
After breakfast, you will be picked by our guide and depart for Ngorongoro Crater. You will have a visit to the foot of the crater for a game drive.

Ngorongoro is quite unique as its physical protection from man natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wilderness on the earth.  It has been also declared the world heritage and is the largest intact crater in the world.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena/Rhino Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater – Transfer to Tarangire (Approx. 2-3 hours)

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Tarangire. You will have a game drive after lunch.

Overnight: Maramboi Tented Lodge/Burunge Tented Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

Day 13: Tarangire – Full-day

Have either full-day game drive or morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 14: Tarangire – Transfer to Arusha (Approx.2-3 hours)
After breakfast depart for Arusha and be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
