Tour Detail

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli, By Flight

You will be picked by our driver from your Nairobi hotel at 6.15a.m. and transfer you to Wilson Airport for your flight to Amboseli which departs at 8a.m. You will arrive in Amboseli at 8.40p.m. You will be picked by lodge’s driver and drive you to the camp with a short game drive en route. Afternoon game drive is at 3 or 4p.m.

Overnight: Tawi Lodge/Tortilis Camp

Day 2: Amboseli – Full day

The day is spent with morning and afternoon game drives with time in between spent at the lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Loisaba (By Flight)

After breakfast, have a transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Loisaba. This flight has a connection in Nairobi and departs Amboseli at 0810 hours to arrive at 0840 hours. Loisaba flight departs at 10.20 a.m to arrive at 11.35 a.m. You will be met by the camp’s guide who will drive you to the camp a game drive en route.

Day 4: Loisaba – Full day

Enjoy this day with an early morning game drive and another one in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Loisaba – Morning game drive – transfer to Loisaba Star beds

Day 6: Loisaba – Transfer to Maasai Mara (By Flight)

After breakfast at the camp, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Mara. The flight departs Loisaba at 9.05a.m. to arrive in Mara at 11a.m. You will arrive at Mara and be picked by our driver. Enjoy an introductory game drive once you arrive en route to the camp for lunch. Have lunch relax before an afternoon game drive at 4 o’clock for 2 hours.

Overnight: Mara Bush Camp – Private Wing

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7 & 8: Maasai Mara – Full day

Spend these 2 days with game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits these beautiful savannah plains. All meals are taken at the camp.

Look out for migration!

Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village, sun downer, bush breakfast & guided nature walks

Overnight: Mara Bush Camp – Private Wing

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 9: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Kichwa Tembo (Mara Triangle)

Have breakfast then have a transfer to Kichwa Tembo with a game drive en route. Arrive and check in at the camp. Relax the rest of the afternoon or have a game drive

Overnight: Kichwa Tembo

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10 & 11: Maasai Mara – Full day

Spend this day with a morning game drive and the rest of the day relaxing by the lodge. All meals are taken at the camp.

Day 12: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Kisumu – Entebbe – Bwindi (All by flight)

Have breakfast then be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Entebbe departing Mara at 8.45 a.m. to arrive in Kisumu at 9.50 a.m. The flight have short stop in Kisumu for immigration purposes.  Depart Kisumu for Entebbe at 10.30a.m. to arrive in Entebbe at 11.30 a.m. You will connect with a flight to Bwindi departing at 12.45 p.m. Arrive in Kihihi Aistrip at 1.55 p.m. and be picked by lodge’s guide and transfer you to Bwindi, Buhoma section.

The day is spent on leisure or guided community walks.

Overnight: Bwindi Lodge/Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp

Day 13: Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi National Park

Another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take 3 to 8 hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorilla. But it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience!

You will carry packed lunch on this day.

Note: For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour.

The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation.

Overnight: Bwindi Lodge/Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14: Bwindi – Relaxation

Relax by the lodge or taking guided walks or visit the local community with a local guide.

Note: The activities can be done interchangeably depending on availability of gorilla permit.
Overnight: Bwindi Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 15: Bwindi – Transfer to Entebbe, by flight

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi for your flight back to Entebbe.  Flight departs at 9.45a.m. to arrive at 11.25a.m. Connect with a flight to Nairobi where you fly back home.
