8 Days of Kenya Safari, starting Nairobi, Ending in Diani

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 5 hours)

You will be picked by our tour guide/driver from your Nairobi hotel at 6.30a.m. Depart for Mara immediately to arrive in time for lunch. Later have game drive at 3/4p.m. till 6p.m.

Note – You will have 2-3 stop overs on this day

Overnight: Basecamp or Zebra Plains/Sarova or Ashnil Mara/Entim or Mara Bush Camp

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2 & 3: Maasai Mara – Full day
Spend these 2 days with full-day game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits these beautiful savannah plains. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River.

Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives

Optional activities: Hot air balloon & guided nature walks

Overnight: Basecamp or Zebra Plains/Sarova or Ashnil Mara/Entim or Mara Bush Camp

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4: Mara – Transfer to Lake Naivasha (Approx. 4 hours)

Have breakfast then transfer to Lake Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon will be spent with a boat ride to Crescent Island for a guided walk. The boat ride will give one an opportunity to see hippos and a good number of birds.

Overnight: Chui Lodge/Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Amboseli via Nairobi (Approx. 6 hours)

Have early morning breakfast then depart for Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and later an afternoon game drive at 3/4p.m.

Overnight: Kibo/Ol Tukai or Amboseli Serena
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6: Amboseli – Full day

This day have a pre-breakfast; 6.30a.m to 9a.m. You have an option of bush breakfast and return later to the camp. Another game drive is at 3/4o’clock for 2 hours.

The rest of the time is spent in lodge’s facilities

Optional Activities – Balloon ride and Cultural tour

Overnight: Kibo/Ol Tukai or Amboseli Serena
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7: Amboseli – Transfer to Tsavo East (Approx. 4 hours)

Have breakfast and immediately depart for Tsavo East to arrive before lunch at the lodge. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4p.m.

Overnight: Ashnil Aruba

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 8: Tsavo East – Transfer to Mombasa /Diani/ Malindi (Approx. 3 hours)

Have a pre-breakfast game drive then return to the lodge for breakfast.  Thereafter head to Mombasa/Diani/Malindi and be dropped off at your hotel.
