Your guide will pick from your Nairobi hotel at 6.30a. and immediately depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. Arrive with and have a short game drive en route to the camp for lunch. After lunch, relax before a game drive at 4p.m. Samburu hosts unique animals like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, the Blue-legged Somali Ostrich, and long-necked gerenuk.

Day 2: Samburu – Morning & Afternoon game drives

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals are taken at the camp.

Day 3: Samburu – Transfer to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary (Approx. 3 hrs)

Have breakfast and depart for Sweetwaters to arrive before lunch time. After lunch, enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Ol Pejeta conservancy is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and hippo. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

Overnight: Sweetwaters Tented Camp

Day 4: Sweetwaters – Full day

Have morning and afternoon game drives with a visit to Chimpanzee Sanctuary and visit the Rhino Sanctuary as well.

Day 5: Sweetwaters – Transfer to Lake Nakuru (Approx. 3-4 hours)

Have breakfast and immediately depart for Lake Nakuru to arrive by lunch time. Have a game drive once you arrive en route to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m.

Overnight: The Cliff/Sarova Lion Hill

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 5 hours)

Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4o’clock.

Overnight: Basecamp or Zebra Plains/Sarova or Ashnil/Mara Bush Camp or Entim/Kichwa Tembo

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7 & 8: Maasai Mara – Full day game drives

These 2 days will be spent with full-day game drives that lead one to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. In between game drives, there will be picnic lunch along the banks of Mara River or a picnic spot picked by your driver.

Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives with the rest of the day spent at the camp.

Day 9: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi (Approx. 5 hours)

Have breakfast, then depart for Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch. Thereafter be dropped off at the hotel.
