Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Entebbe by flight
Arrive at the airport, clear with immigration and meet your driver outside the terminal. The driver will transfer you to booked city hotel.

Day 2: Entebbe/Kampala – Transfer to Kibale (Approx.5-6 hours)
Our driver will pick you up at 6.30a.m from your Entebbe or Kampala hotel and immediately depart for Kibale National Park. The drive has sceneries of farms and traditional homesteads. Arrive in the lodge in time for lunch and afternoon is on leisure.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Nature walk
After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to starting point of the chimp trekking/tracking for briefing.
The trekking can last for 2 to 4 hours depending on how close the chimps are. You will be given an hour of interaction with the chimpanzees as you take photos. The park is known as home of primate with 13 primate’s species including the famous chimpanzees, some who have been habituated. During the trek you will encounter other primates like Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys. Later you will return from the trek and head to the lodge for lunch. Thereafter, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary for primate and bird viewing, the walk can take roughly 2 hours. Explore the hidden treasure of this swamp, with great chance to see a number of bird species and monkeys.

Day 4: Kibale – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Travel time +3hrs
Have breakfast, and drive to Queen Elizabeth. The drive is a scenic one with plantations and beautiful view of crater lakes. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, at lunch time. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4pm.

Day 5: Game drive & boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast at 6:00 am, you will head for morning game drive in search for the morning hunters and grazers such as the buffalos, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, lions and a variety of bird species. You will drive back to the lodge for lunch. Thereafter, proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to view the water dwelling birds such as the pied king fisher, African fish eagle, herons, darters to mention but a few. You will also see animals such as buffalos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants wallowing at the mad and much more. After boat cruise, you will proceed for a short game drive as you find you way back to lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi. Travel time +5hrs
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge, proceed to Ishasha, for tree climbing lion search, with a short game drive and later drive to Bwindi. The drive to Bwindi is also a scenic one. Arrive later afternoon/early evening and check in a the lodge.

Day 7: Trekking Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi National Park
Another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Hikers will love trekking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike; it may take 3 to 8 hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead before you encounter any gorilla. But it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience!
You will carry packed lunch on this day.
Note: For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour.
The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes.
Overnight: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge/Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 8: Bwindi – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After a relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, where you will have a canoe ride. Lake Bunyonyi is a beautiful lake characterised by numerous islands and harbors many bird species. Later return for lunch, and spend the afternoon at the lodge at leisure.
Overnight: Bird Nest Resort/Acacia Lodge

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi – Entebbe Travel time +8hrs
Have early breakfast, before you jump on to your jeep, to return to Kampala, then Entebbe, with lunch en route. You will reach Entebbe and proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Entebbe – Day tour – Departure
After breakfast, your guide will pick you and drive to Mabamba Swamp for bird watching. This is the best place to spot the rare shoebill. It takes about an hour by road via Nakawuka – Kasanje. You will head for a full day, private boat excursion, with picnic lunch; the wetlands are home to a variety of different bird species. A canoe ride through papyrus swamp will take you at the best spot of spotting the Shoebill bird among other rare Africa birds like the Malachite Kingfisher, Swamp Flycatchers, African Purple Swamphen, African Water Rail, Common Moorhen, Lesse Jacana, African Jacana, African Pygime Goose, White faced whistling duck, Squacco heron, Blue reasted Bee eater, African Jacana, and Saddle – billed Stork, among others. Later return to your hotel for late lunch. After lunch, depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.
