Explore East Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations on this 12-day Kenya and Tanzania safari, departing from Nairobi.
The journey begins at Lake Nakuru, where flamingos and rhinos set an impressive opening, before continuing to the Masai Mara for exceptional game viewing and the possibility of witnessing the Great Migration in season.
A scenic flight into Tanzania leads to the Serengeti’s legendary plains, followed by a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife settings.
The itinerary then returns to Kenya for a final chapter in Amboseli, where elephant herds roam against the iconic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, before the journey concludes back in Nairobi.

Tour Detail
Days 1-2 | The Rift Valley: A Bird & Rhino Sanctuary
Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Lake Nakuru (Approx. 3 hours)
You will be picked at 7a.m. by our tour guide/driver and immediately depart for Lake Nakuru to arrive by mid-morning. Arrive and have your 1st game drive to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.
Look out for endangered white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. Other animals to see include lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe and a good number of birds.
Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approximately 5 hours)
After early breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara to arrive at lunch time. Enjoy lunch then relax before your afternoon game drive at 4 O’clock for 2 hours. Return later to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Days 3-5 | Masai Mara: Africa’s Greatest Stage
Day 3 & 4: Maasai Mara – Full day
Spend these 2 days with full-day with game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this beautiful savannah land. This is a game drive that starts as from 8a.m till 4p.m. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River or a good picnic spot picked by your guide.
Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks
Overnight: Mara Bush Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 5: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Serengeti (By Flight)
Have breakfast then enjoy a game drive till mid-morning as you head to the airstrip for a flight to Migori departing Mara at 11.30a.m. to arrive in Migori at noon. There is a short scenic road transfer between Migori Airstrip and Tarime Airstrip. There will be a stop for immigration. Upon landing in Serengeti in the afternoon, you will be picked by the camp’s guide and immediately have a game drive till 6p.m. when you check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Days 6-8 | Serengeti: The Endless Plains of Tanzania
Day 6 & 7: Serengeti – Full day
Spend these 2 days with full-day game drives within the Great Serengeti. Serengeti is the home to Africa’s Big Five. There will be picnic lunch during the day.
Alternatively, have morning & afternoon game drives

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 8: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro (Approximately 3 hours)
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater with a short stop at Olduvai Gorge. Arrive in Ngorongoro and check in at the lodge. There will be no other game drive so spend the remaining hours at leisure enjoying walking around the surrounding areas and exploring the lodge’s facilities.
Ngorongoro is quite unique as its physical protection from man natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wilderness on the earth. It has been also declared the world heritage and is the largest intact crater in the world.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Days 9-12 | The Ngorongoro Crater, Amboseli
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – Full day
After breakfast, check out of the lodge with picnic lunch and depart for a tour of the crater floor. Spend the day within the crater and have lunch at one of the famous picnic spots in the park. In the afternoon you will return to the lodge.
Optional Activity – Guided walk
Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 10: Ngorongoro – Transfer to Amboseli (Via Namanga, Approx. 4 hours)
Have early breakfast then depart with picnic lunch boxes to the Namanga border. Clear customs and immigration formalities then join our Kenya tour driver and proceed to Amboseli. You will have lunch en route. Once you arrive at the park, you will enjoy a game drive. Look out for large herds of elephants, lions, leopard, gazelles, wild dogs and the magnificent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Overnight: Ol Tukai or Amboseli Serena
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 11: Amboseli – Full day
Spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives with stay in the lodge in between.

Day 12: Amboseli – Transfer to Nairobi (Approximately 4 hours)
Have another last game drive then return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. You will depart for Nairobi thereafter and be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
