13-Day Kenya & Tanzania Lodge Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli (Approx. 4 hours)

You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel at 7a.m. and immediately depart for Amboseli National park arriving before lunch. Check in at lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. Amboseli offers a scenic background of Mount Kilimanjaro for photography. Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, Buffalo can be seen at the swamp area.

Overnight: Ol Tukai or Amboseli Serena

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2: Amboseli – Full day

Have a morning and afternoon game drives on this day with the rest of the time spent in the lodge.

Overnight: Ol Tukai or Amboseli Serena

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Lake Naivasha (Approx. 5 hours)

Have breakfast then enjoy a game drive till mid-morning then depart for Lake Naivasha to arrive and check in at the camp by lunch time. Have lunch and later have boat ride to Crescent Island for a guided walk.

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 5 hours)

Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the lodge. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4o’clock till 6 p.m.

Day 5 & 6: Maasai Mara – Full day game drive
Spend these 2 days with full-day game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this beautiful savannah land. There will be picnic lunch at 1300hours along Mara River where you will have a chance to spot more hippos.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Serengeti via Isebania border (Approx. 7-8 hours)

Have breakfast then depart for Serengeti passing through Isebania border. Carry packed lunch with you from the lodge because you will arrive at the park past lunch hour. Have a game drive as you enter the park and later drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Alternatively, have a morning flight to arrive in Serengeti by noon.

Day 8 & 9: Serengeti – Full day game drive
Have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. Enjoy searching for wildlife in this vast savannah land. Picnic lunch will be served at lunch time.
Overnight: Serengeti Serena

Day 10: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro (Approximately 3 hours)

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater with a short stop at Olduvai Gorge. Enjoy an introductory game drive as you arrive at the crater as you head to the lodge. Have lunch and spend the day relaxing by the lodge.

Ngorongoro is quite unique as its physical protection from man natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wilderness on the earth.  It has been also declared the world heritage and is the largest intact crater in the world.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 11: Ngorongoro – Crater tour – Transfer Tarangire (Approx 3 hours)

After breakfast, check out of the lodge with packed lunch and depart for a tour of the crater floor. Have a game drive, have lunch and later depart for Tarangire.

Day 12: Tarangire – Full day game drive

Have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. Enjoy searching for wildlife. Picnic lunch will be served at lunch time.

Overnight: Tarangire Sopa

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13: Tarangire – Transfer to Arusha -Kilimanjaro (Approx. 3-4 hours)

Have early-morning game drive then return to the lodge for breakfast. Thereafter head for Arusha or Kilimanjaro.
