Overview

Your 6 days primate safari to explore Uganda, will be an amazing life time adventure, as you get thrilled into the hearts of the jungles of tropical rain forests for various trekking in search for relevant primates including the gentle forest giants “the gorillas”, chimpanzees and the lovely monkeys. This is an amazing adventure gets you close to one of the human closest relatives, an opportunity to trek the chimpanzees and famous gorillas, a great chance to do a gorilla trekking experience visit the world known gorilla park, in Uganda, harboring half of the remaining world mountain gorillas. This will be once a life time moment, safari encounter. You will encounter the primates, and the lovely hospitable people, you ever wished to meet. This sounds amazing, let’s get the safari started. This an active adventure show, full of energy, and amazing experience, you will share for a lifetime.

 

Day 1. Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kampala.

Travel time 1.30 hrs

Upon arrival, you will be picked from the airport by our driver guide and transfer you to Kampala to your booked hotel accommodation, with a stunning view of the city, later check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Cassia Lodge (mid-range hotel)

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park. Travel time + 6hrs

In the morning, you will set off a relaxed drive through the verdant countryside to Kibale Forest NP with en route stops for sightseeing including the distant views of number of tea plantations along the way. You will reach Kibale Forest National Park in the afternoon, and check in for lunch in your booked accommodation. You will spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Nature walk

In the morning, you will set off to the park headquarters for briefing before going for Chimpanzee tracking, where you may encounter other primates like Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys among others. The park is known as home of primate with 13 primate’s species including the famous chimpanzees. The trek takes roughly 2 – 4 hours, depending on the chimpanzee movement. One hour will be allocated to you, to have a wonderful interaction with the chimpanzees, as you take pictures and short videos, as your local guide explains to your all the biological back ground of the chimpanzee as you interact. You will later return from trek and head for lunch, in the afternoon; go for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary for primate and bird viewing, the walk can take roughly 2 hours, to explore the hidden treasure of this swamp, with great chance to see a number of bird species and monkeys. Later drive to your lodge

Day 4:  Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Travel time +6hrs

Have a relaxed morning breakfast, and later drive off to Bwindi with a panoramic view along the way, with an en route lunch. Overnight and dinner at the lodge.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience.

Early morning, with packed lunch, you will go to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on the gorilla tracking adventure. The gorilla trekking is always referred to as a life time moment, as it leaves with a great experience of meeting the gorillas face to face in the jungle. You will be given an hour upon finding the gorillas to take a great moment with them as you watching the juveniles swing from one tree branch to another. You will return for lunch at the lodge, for lunch. In the afternoon, you will spend the evening at your leisure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Kampala. Travel time +8hrs

After having a relaxed morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala, with an en route lunch along the way. You will reach Kampala in afternoon, and proceed to Entebbe to the airport for your drop off evening flight. Greetings way back home, as we look forward to receive your review and recommendations to family and friends.
