An 11-day adventure Kenya and Rwanda Gorilla Trekking that begins with your arrival in Kigali, Rwanda. Journey to Volcanoes National Park for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience in the misty forest.
Transfer back to Kigali and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial. From there, head to the Serengeti in Tanzania, where you’ll engage yourself in engaging game drives, witnessing the Big Five and possibly the Great Wildebeest Migration.
Your adventure continues as you travel to Kenya’s Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations, where you’ll enjoy more wildlife sightings in the vast savannah.
Your journey concludes with memories of extraordinary landscapes, remarkable wildlife, amazing accommodations, and cultural experiences.

Detailed Itinerary
Days 1-4 | Rwanda: In the Realm of the Gentle Giants
Day 1: Kigali – Arrival & transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will go through custom and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the hotel for overnight stay.
Overnight: Kigali Serena/The Manor/Hotel Des Milles
Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast
Day 2: Kigali– Transfer to Volcanoes (Travel Time +3hrs)
You will be picked from Kigali hotel and immediately depart for Musanze near Volcanoes National Park. You will drive in rolling hills with spectacular views of the valleys, with great plantations. Arrive in time for lunch, afternoon is spent on leisure.
Overnight: Ingagi View Park Lodge/Five Volcanoes
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 7:00 am with a pre-tracking briefing from the Rwanda park officials. This trek is a guided one and it takes 2 – 6 hours depending on where the group assigned is that particular day but meeting them is guaranteed.
In the afternoon, you can either relax by the lodge, have massage or visit Iby’ Iwacu cultural center to learn more about the local community.
What to carry/wear – rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots, packed lunch, walking stick.

Day 4: Volcanoes – Kigali City
After early breakfast, depart Volcanoes for Kigali. You may choose to have an early lunch en-route in Kigali or have it in Kigali city. In the afternoon, you will visit Genocide memorial center before being transferred to the hotel.

Days 5-7 | Serengeti: Tanzania’s Endless Wildlife Horizons
Day 5: Kigali Airport – Transfer to Serengeti, by flight
You will be transferred in the morning to the airport for a flight to Serengeti (Coastal Aviation). You will land in the park and be picked by camp’s guide. Have your first game drive en route to the camp/lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.
Overnight: Serengeti Serena Safari/Serengeti Pioneer Camp/Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 6 & 7: Serengeti – Morning & afternoon game drives
On these 2 days, you will have morning and afternoon game drives with the rest of the times spent in the camp/lodge.
Optional Activities – Balloon ride, bush breakfast & sundowner.
Overnight: Serengeti Serena Safari/Serengeti Pioneer Camp/Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge

Days 8-11 | Masai Mara: The Heart of the African Wild
Day 8: Serengeti – Transfer to Maasai Mara, by Flight
Have breakfast and be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Mara. This flight has a connection in Nairobi. You will arrive at Mara you will be picked by our or camp’s driver. Enjoy an introductory game drive once you arrive en route to the camp for lunch. Have lunch relax before an afternoon game drive at 3/4p.m.
Overnight: Angama Mara/Kichwa Tembo/Sanctuary Olonana/Entim or Mara Bush Camp (Private Wing)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 9 & 10: Maasai Mara – Full day game drive
Spend these 2 day with either full-day game drives or morning & afternoon game drives as well as night game drives.
Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village, guided nature walks, sundowner and bush meals
Overnight: Angama Mara/Kichwa Tembo/Sanctuary Olonana/Entim or Mara Bush Camp (Private Wing)

Day 11: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi, By flight
Have breakfast then you will be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Nairobi departing at 11.15a.m. You will arrive at 12.15 p.m. and be transferred for lunch. Later be dropped off at your hotel or airport.

Days 6-7 | Masai Mara: Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Stage
Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 5-6 hours)
Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4o’clock.
Overnight: Zebra Plains or Basecamp/Ashnil or Sarova/Entim or Mara Bush Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 7: Maasai Mara – Full day
Spend this day with a morning & afternoon game drive or a full-day game drive with picnic lunch.
Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks
Overnight: Zebra Plains or Basecamp/Ashnil or Sarova/Entim or Mara Bush Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Days 8-12 | Diani Beach: Tropical Bliss on the Indian Ocean
Day 8: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Diani by afternoon flight
Have breakfast then depart for Nairobi to catch an afternoon flight to Ukunda, Diani. Upon arrival in Diani, our driver will transfer you to the hotel.
Overnight: Baobab/The Maji
