The journey opens in Amboseli, where elephant herds roam against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, before venturing into the Aberdares for unique highland wildlife and characterful accommodation.
Samburu National Reserve follows, offering rugged scenery, rare northern species such as Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe, and cultural encounters with the Samburu people along the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Sweetwaters Game Reserve and Ol Pejeta Conservancy provide an intimate wildlife experience, including close encounters with rescued chimpanzees, while Lake Naivasha offers a more tranquil interlude, with boat rides, abundant birdlife, and the dramatic landscapes of nearby Hell’s Gate National Park.
The safari concludes in the Masai Mara, where vast savannahs, exceptional predator sightings, and the Great Migration in season, along with optional hot-air balloon rides, make for an outstanding and memorable finale.

Tour Detail
Days 1–2 | Amboseli: The Land of Giants
Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli (Approx. 4 hours)
You will be picked from your hotel at 7a.m and immediately depart for Amboseli to arrive by mid-morning. Afternoon game drive is at 3/4p.m.
Overnight: Kibo/Ol Tukai or Serena
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Amboseli – Full day
Spend this day with a morning and afternoon game drives with the rest of the time spent in the camp.
Alternatively, have an early morning game drive, then a picnic breakfast followed by another game drive till around 11a.m or noon when you head back to the lodge. Later have another game drive at 4p.m.
Optional Activities – Balloon ride & Cultural tour

Day 3 | Nairobi: Conservation in the Capital
Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Nairobi
Have early breakfast then depart for Nairobi. Arrive and visit David Sheldrick Eleohant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre. Have lunch then be dropped off at the hotel to relax.
Overnight: Tamarind Tree/Nairobi Serena Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 4 | Aberdares: Wildlife from the Deck
Day 4: Nairobi – Transfer to Aberdares (Approx. 3 hours)
Have breakfast then depart for Aberdares at 9a.m. Arrive in Aberdares in time for lunch at Aberdares Country Club. Thereafter, you will have a joint game drive to The Ark lodge. The lodge has a deck where you can watch animals drinking water from the waterhole near it.
Overnight: The Ark
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Days 5–6 | Samburu: The Rugged Northern Frontier
Day 5: Aberdares – Transfer to Samburu (Approx. 5 hours)
Have breakfast then be transferred to the park’s gate where you will meet with your driver. Immediately depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. You will have a game drive en route to the camp. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. for 2 hours.
Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich.
Overnight: Samburu Ashnil/Elephant Bedroom Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 6: Samburu – Full day
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals are taken at the camp.
Optional Activities – Cultural tour & A visit to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary
Overnight: Samburu Ashnil/Elephant Bedroom Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 7 | Ol Pejeta: Chimps & Rhino Conservation
Day 7: Samburu – Transfer to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary (Approx. 3 hrs)
Have breakfast and depart for Sweetwaters to arrive before lunch time. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive, observe chimps from the Jane Goodall Institute at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and a visit to Rhino Sanctuary.
Optional Activity – Night game drive
Overnight: Pelican House or Sweetwaters
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 8 | Lake Naivasha: Birdlife & Boat Safaris
Day 8: Sweetwaters – Transfer to Lake Naivasha (Approx. 4 hours)
Have breakfast then depart for Lake Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon will be spent with a boat ride to Crescent Island for a guided walk. The boat ride will give one an opportunity to see hippos and a good number of birds.
Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa/Chui Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Days 9–12 | Masai Mara: The Crown Jewel
Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Approx. 4-5 hours)
Have breakfast then transfer to Maasai Mara to arrive in time for lunch. The road to Mara is a scenic one; passing through valleys, plantations and small towns en route. Arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 3 or 4p.m. till 6p.m.
Overnight: Basecamp or Zebra Plains/Sarova or Ashnil/Mara Bush Camp or Entim
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 10 & 11: Maasai Mara – Full day
These 2 days will be spent with full-day game drive in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits these beautiful savannah plains. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River or a good picnic site picked by the guide.
Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives
Optional activities: Hot air balloon, cultural tour, sundowner, bush meals and guided nature walks
Overnight: Basecamp or Zebra Plains/Sarova or Ashnil/Mara Bush Camp or Entim
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 12: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi (Approx. 5 hours)
Have breakfast then head to Nairobi. Have lunch and thereafter be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
